Artist in Residence No Longer
Being artist in residence at Fred Aldous for this past year has been exceptionally fun for me. To be able to experiment, both in black and white and more recently in colour, on a regular basis is a treat indeed. Prior to this my booth antics were limited to occasional trips to Berlin, London and Latvia as Nottingham still has no analogue booths to speak of.
Monthly trips to Manchester (on the train, through the Pennines) became a real focus and something I’ve hugely looked forward to, in spite of Manchester’s incessant rain! Having the freedom to experiment with every idea and explore different avenues has really opened up the possibilities of photobooth art to me.
But – all good things must come to an end. And as this May marks the end of my year at Fred’s, I’ll be celebrating with a small exhibition there. Stay tuned….
